Infant Development Program
What is the Infant Development Program?
- For children from birth to three years of age who are experiencing or are at risk for developmental delays
- Home based and family centered
- Provided free of charge and completely confidential
Important things to know:
- This program is free
- You decide what is most helpful to your family
- Families can join or leave the program at any time
- All visits are strictly confidential
- You do not need a professional referral; you may contact the program administrator yourself
We Provide:
- Confidential home visits for family support and to develop new activities
- Supervised play groups combined with parent chat group
- Access to videos, reading materials and toy lending
- Information on community resources
- Joint home visits with other professionals (e.g. physiotherapists)
- Assistance with transition to other community services (e.g. preschool)
- Respite service for some families on the program
Infant Development consultants are professionals trained to assist you to teach your child in your home and are trained in infant and child development.
