Children's Therapy and Family Resource Centre

Provides therapy and support services to children who require extra support, birth to 19 years, using a community based, outreach model.Programs for Children 1 to 6 include:

Early Intervention Program
  • Physiotherapy promotes physical development and movement.
  • Occupational Therapy helps children to be successful in daily functional activities such as toileting, dressing, eating, sleeping, school readiness, attention and play
  • Speech and Language Services improves understanding and listening skill, as well as talking.
  • Family Resources services include identifying community and provincial resources, workshops, counselling, lending cupboard of equipment, adaptive living devices, library of books and videos.
  • Supported Child Development works with community care providers to support the involvement of children in their neighborhood early childhood setting.

Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention Program (EIBI)
  • Provides intensive one-on-one intervention and therapy services for pre-school children, diagnosed with Autism.

Autism Diagnostic Clinic
  • Provides diagnostic and referral services

We are family-centered and Services offered may include:

  • Identify Aboriginal infants and children who have development delays or a disability.
  • To provide support, consultation and provide training opportunities for families, with special needs children.
  • Information classes for parents to participate in such as music and ways of enhancing early brain development.
  • We make referrals to specialized services such as Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy
  • The Baby Eagle Program is designed to support children from birth to 12, who require extra supports, for inclusive child care.
  • In partnership with the family, child care settings, and communities to determine the extra support needed to successfully include a child in a child care setting chosen by the parents, within their community.
